National Archives Service Centre Sect

This Section will perform the following activities:-
(i) Develop, monitor, evaluate and review implementation of acquisition policy, standards, systems, procedures and guidelines;
(ii) Arrange, classify and describe archives;
(iii) Provide access and reference services;
(iv) Store and preserve paper records, audio-visual and electronic records and advise accordingly;
(v) Design archives and information infrastructure;
(vi) Develop and review policy on acquisition and accessioning archival materials;
(vii) Carryout outreach programs on National Archives; and
(viii) Undertake archives declassification/downgrading to facilitate access to the Public.
This Section will be led by an Assistant Director.
