 Objective
To provide expertise and services on proper administration and management of Public Records and Archives throughout their life cycle; and preservation of objects and documentary materials of the Founders of the Nation.

Functions
(i) To develop, monitor, evaluate and review implementation of records and archives policies, programs, guidelines, procedures, systems and standards;
(ii) To ensure adherence to good records and archives keeping practices;
(iii) To manage Founders of the Nation Centre;
(iv) To preserve and make available for consultation Public Records selected for preservation in the National Archives or any other archival repository; and
(v) To facilitate development of professional staff on records and archives management in the Public Service.

This Division will be led by a Director and will have the following Sections:-
(i) Records Management Section;
(ii) National Archives Service Centre  Section;
(iii) Technical Services Section;
(iv) Records Centre Services Section; and
(v) Founders of the Nation Centre Section.
