Objective
To provide expertise and services on e- Government, e-Security policies; Human Capital and Administrative Systems to the Public Service.
Functions
- To develop, monitor, evaluate and review implementation of e- Government and e-Security policies, legislations, guidelines, manuals and strategies;
- To develop and manage ICT Human Capital and Administrative Systems; and
- To provide ICT support to the Office (PO-PSMGG).
The Division will be led by a Director and will have two (2) Sections as follows:-
- ICT Policy and Standards Section; and
- ICT Systems and Services Section.
1.1.1 ICT Policy and Standards Section
The Section will perform the following activities:-
- Develop, monitor, evaluate and review implementation of e- Government and e-Security policies, legislations, guidelines, manuals and strategies;
- Develop, monitor, evaluate and review implementation of Best ICT Security Practices Manual;
- Create awareness and build capacity of e- Government and e-Security policies, legislations, guidelines and manuals;
- Monitor and evaluate performance of e-Government Agency;
- Provide technical advice on ICT in the Public Service; and
- Carryout studies and impact assessments of e-Government and e-Security policies and advice.
The Section will be led by an Assistant Director.
1.1.2 ICT Systems and Services Section.
The Section will perform the following activities:-
- Design, install, administer, maintain and manage Human Capital Management and Administrative Systems;
- Develop and implement Business Continuity Plan and Recovery strategy for Human Capital Management and Administrative Systems;
- Develop and review Human Capital Management and administrative systems manuals and guidelines;
- Provide technical advice on Human Capital Management and administrative systems to MDAs and LGAs;
- Build and maintain Human Capital Management and administrative systems reports based and user requirements;
- Carryout studies and impact assessments on Human Capital Management and administrative systems;
- Implement ICT and e-Government policy;
- Develop and coordinate Integrated Information and Communication Technology for the Office;
- Ensure that hardware and software are well maintained;
- Coordinate and provide support on procurement of software and hardware in the Office;
- Establish and coordinate use of electronic mail communications on LAN and WAN; and
- Carryout studies and propose areas of using ICT as an instrument to improve service delivery to the whole Office.
The Section will be led by an Assistant Director.
