Government Information and Communication Technology Services Division

Objective

To provide expertise and services on e- Government, e-Security policies; Human Capital and Administrative Systems to the Public Service.

 

Functions

(i)               To develop, monitor, evaluate and review implementation of e- Government and e-Security policies, legislations, guidelines, manuals and strategies; and

(ii)              To develop and manage ICT human capital and administrative systems.

 

The Division will be led by a Director and will have the following Sections:-

(i)               ICT Services Section; and

(ii)              Human Capital and Administrative ICT Systems Development Section.

 

1)         ICT Services Section

 

The Section will perform the following activities:-

(i)              Develop,  monitor, evaluate and review implementation of e- Government and e-Security policies, legislations, guidelines, manuals and strategies;

(ii)             Develop, monitor, evaluate and review implementation of Best ICT Security Practices Manual;

(iii)           Create awareness and build capacity of e- Government and e-Security policies, legislations, guidelines and manuals;

(iv)           Monitor and evaluate performance of e-Government Agency;

(v)            Provide technical advice on ICT in the Public Service; and

(vi)           Carryout studies and impact assessments of e-Government and e-Security policies and advice.

The Section will be led by an Assistant Director.

 

2)         Human Capital and Administrative ICT Systems Development Section

 

The Section will perform the following activities:-

(i)              Design, install, administer, maintain and manage Human Capital Management and Administrative Systems;

(ii)             Develop and implement Business Continuity Plan and Recovery strategy for Human Capital Management and Administrative Systems;

(iii)           Develop and review Human Capital Management and administrative systems manuals and guidelines;

(iv)           Provide technical advice on Human Capital Management and administrative systems to MDAs and LGAs;

(v)            Build and maintain Human Capital Management and administrative systems reports based and user requirements; and

(vi)           Carryout studies and impact assessments on Human Capital Management and administrative systems.  

The Section will be led by an Assistant Director.
