To provide expertise on diversity programmes in MDAs, RSs and LGAs.
This Unit will perform the following activities:-
(i) Design and review diversity programs and oversee their implementation in MDAs, RSs and LGAs;
(ii) Facilitate gender focal points/diversity champions in MDAs, RSs and LGAs;
(iii) Analyse sectoral policies, circulars and regulations and advise on mainstreaming of diversity issues in the Public Service;
(iv) Coordinate, monitor and evaluate implementation of HIV/AIDS programs in MDAs, RSs and LGAs;
(v) Formulate and review gender/diversity perspective guidelines for policy implementation;
(vi) Address issues pertaining to people with disabilities in the Public Service;
(vii) Establish, maintain and update database for women public servants; and advise accordingly; and
(viii) Monitor and evaluate diversity specific initiatives and provide counseling for public servants.
This Unit will be led by a Director.
